Who are we?
Maninplace was established in 2006 to respond to the needs of people presenting as homeless or rough living in the borough of Telford & Wrekin.
Starting with just 15 bed spaces, people were brought in from the cold and given a warm bed for the night.
10 years later, Maninplace has 100 bed spaces and accommodates nearly 300 people every year, be it for just 1 night, or for a more long term period.
Why we need your help.
To ensure there is a lasting emergency provision in Telford for future generations who may presents as rough living or homeless, we need to purchase a property that is not only suitable for now, but will cater for future needs.
We need to raise £80,000 to use as a mortgage deposit so we can buy the appropriate property that will meet the needs of the people who will use our services.
The difference your help will bring.
Every year many people arrive at our door, some wearing only the clothes on their back.
From the moment customers come into our house or their potential new home, our staff go the extra mile to make customers feel safe, to show the upmost respect at a time when they are most vulnerable, and to give the appropriate support to help reach their full potential.
By owning our own property, we will have more money to offer greater support to those who are in need, support such as access to employment, budgeting skills, life skills, and much more.
Your support matters
Every penny raised by you makes a difference, it may even save a life. We couldn’t offer the services we do without the generosity of the general public.
On behalf of every Maninplace customer, staff member and volunteer, THANK YOU!
